The Family Plan 1 & 2 – 2-Movie Blu-ray Collection
Two family getaways become anything but ordinary in The Family Plan and The Family Plan 2. This 2-disc Blu-ray collection brings together both action-comedy films starring Mark Wahlberg as Dan Morgan and Michelle Monaghan as his wife, Jessica. Across an American road trip and a Christmas holiday in Europe, Dan discovers that keeping his family safe is much harder when his former life refuses to stay in the past.
Combining chase sequences, undercover secrets and the everyday challenges of parenting, these films follow a family whose travel plans repeatedly turn into dangerous adventures. The first film introduces Dan’s double life, while the sequel puts the Morgans together again for a holiday trip with unexpected complications.
The Family Plan (2023): A Road Trip with a Secret
Dan Morgan enjoys the routines of suburban life. He is a husband, a father of three and a car salesman, apparently more concerned with family responsibilities than dangerous assignments. What his wife and children do not know is that Dan was once an elite government assassin.
When enemies from his past find him, Dan must move quickly. Rather than explain the threat, he packs his family into their minivan and sets off on an unplanned cross-country journey to Las Vegas. To his unsuspecting passengers, it looks like a sudden family vacation. For Dan, every stop brings another challenge to keeping them out of danger.
The comedy comes from the collision between Dan’s professional instincts and his family’s very different priorities. He must manage suspicious encounters and sudden threats while dealing with the practical frustrations of travelling with children. Protecting the people he loves also means deciding how long he can keep hiding the truth from them.
The Family Plan 2 (2025): A Christmas Getaway Goes Off Course
In the second film, Dan hopes to spend the holiday season enjoying time with Jessica and their children. An overseas vacation offers a chance to make new memories together, but the arrival of a mysterious figure connected to his past disrupts those plans.
The family’s European trip becomes a dangerous game of pursuit and escape. Holiday sightseeing gives way to car chases, criminal schemes and unexpected confrontations, forcing the Morgans to adapt when their vacation becomes another test of survival.
With a Christmas setting and a new international backdrop, the sequel adds a seasonal twist to the collection. Dan’s struggle to leave his old life behind continues, while the family must navigate danger alongside the disagreements and changing relationships that come with growing up.

Been wanting a proper copy of this for a long time. Loaded fine on both my player and my laptop. Nothing to nitpick, honestly.

Bit of a blind buy for me and it turned out to be a winner. Wish the case had a slipcover, but the discs themselves are fine. Even on an older player it loaded without a fuss.

Was not sure about the price at first but it is worth it. Episodes are in broadcast order, not the usual shuffle. Case is solid and the artwork looks even better in person. Very pleased — worth every penny.
